OOC Information

Player: Groove
Contact Information: Plork

Lemmy Koopa

Canonpoint: He's been through every Mario game up to and including Mario Kart 8.
Age: 12
Wish: "I wanna be the world's greatest stage magician!"
Result: He's got magic now, doesn't he? :D
Weapon: A top hat.
Outfit: The worst magical girl
Human form!?!: Since non-magical beings can't see him as a Koopa, they'll see a kid that looks a little like this (art by asktehkoopz!)

Powers

» Everybody look at me! - His passive ability allows him to command attention. Basically, he's got the ability to act as a distraction. In battle, he can pull aggro: opponents will be drawn to him, allowing other magi to pursue them unhindered. Outside of battle, NPCs will find his antics very interesting, so he'll be able to capture their attention easily. Of course, this will require player input regarding whether it works on other PCs.

» Things go boom - His active ability lets him materialize bombs that look a bit like the one in this picture, but small enough to fit in the palm of his hand. They explode on impact and they can hurt, but they're not too powerful (because, after all, his wish focused on being showy). He could probably handle a new nightmare or a weaker familiar on his own, but a stronger enemy would require a LOT of bombs and would drain his magic pretty quickly. To start with, he can summon up to three bombs at a time, and he has to wait until they explode before being able to summon more.

» SUMMON BALLS - From his hat, he can pull 5-10 smaller rubber balls (about this size) or one large ball about as tall as he is). They're just bouncy rubber balls. The smaller ones can be used as a distraction or to trip up enemies, and the big one is for riding around on and he has to dismiss one to use the other

» Fire breath - Lemmy can breath a continuous stream of fire for up to ten seconds, or until he runs out of breath and it turns into a puff of useless smoke. If that happens, he has to wait a minute before he can do it again.

» Chain Chomp - Lemmy pulls a Chain Chomp out of his hat that proceeds to attact a specific target. It's about the size of a Large beach ball. It doesn't attack allies, but it careens directly at a target and isn't careful about what gets in the way! However, it's not very strong and can be taken down with a few good hits from a nightmare's familiar. It's also a huge magic drain and will last about ten minutes if it isn't destroyed first.

Character name: Lemmy Koopa
Age: 12
Canon: Super Mario
Canonpoint: HAHA CANON POINTS IN MARIO GAMES. Let's assume all Mario games take place in chronological order of release date and Mario Kart 8 is his latest appearance. Not going with SSB4 because that's a whole can of fourth wall worms I don't wanna open.

Background: http://www.mariowiki.com/Lemmy_Koopa

HAHA CANON HISTORY IN MARIO GAMES. So the family history of the Koopalings is a HUGE MESS that's been subject to several retcons. To make things simple, I'm going to say that the original seven Koopalings were adopted by Bowser, Bowser Jr. is the only biological kid, and Lemmy himself is the third youngest (after Larry and Jr.). They all work for Bowser because he doesn't seem to care about child labor laws. They're on amicable terms with the Mario Bros. and other good guys because this is Mario, after all, and how else are they gonna get invited to go kart racing?

Personality:

If the clownish hair and wall eyes weren't enough of a hint, Lemmy is not a very serious kid. He loves to play and joke, and even when fighting in the name of the Koopa Troop, his antics are still more comical than dangerous. Nearly every time he faces off again the Mario Bros., for instance, it's always while rolling around on a comically large rubber ball. He's also obsessed with the circus, given that the inside of his airship in New Super Mario Bros. U is even decorated like a circus tent. Mario games are hardly high dramatic art, but even in the happy go lucky world of the Mushroom Kingdom, Lemmy is an exceptional goofball. As you may have already guessed, he's also not all that bright. He lives in the now and has the attention span of a goldfish. It's easy to goad him into doing something if he has even the slightest inkling that it's going to be fun. Being so easily distracted, he can bounce from one topic to the next with no downtime. "Energetic" is not remotely descriptive enough when talking about Lemmy. More accurately, he is a perpetual motion machine fueled by constant enthusiasm about everything.

It goes without saying that Lemmy is best handled in small does, since his never-ending excitement can get overwhelming.

In addition to being impulsive as heck, Lemmy has a bad habit of never thinking before he speaks. Manners aren't exactly valued in the Koopa household- they live with Bowser for crying out loud- so he never developed any kind of filter. He'll just blurt out whatever's on his mind without considering that maybe he comes off as a little rude. Of course, he'll also change the subject so fast that you might not even get a word in edgewise. Likewise, it's hard to insult him because he literally will not think about it long enough to realize he should be insulted.

Out of all of the Koopalings, Lemmy seems the most uninterested in kidnapping princesses and world conquest. He fancies himself as the "Clown Prince of the Koopas", implying that he considers himself the funniest and most light-hearted of his siblings, if not the entire Koopa Troop. That doesn't mean he's the lone nice guy in a sea of baddies. Nah, he's just as capable of being rotten as the rest of his siblings, he just does it because wreaking havoc is fun. He's not above being a total brat when the mood strikes him. He is a Koopaling after all, and Koopalings just love being mean. He loves a good prank, and whether or not someone ends up embarrassed or with minor injuries doesn't matter if he's entertained.

Lemmy is the smallest and nimblest of the Koopalings, which is conductive to his enthusiastic nature. While everyone in Mario Kart can perform physics-defying stunts, Lemmy's tricks are especially lively, with him flipping right out of his vehicle in mid-air and flailing wildly. This isn't without its downsides, of course. As small as he is, Lemmy is not particularly strong on his own. Going back to Mario Kart, his being incredibly light makes it easy to knock him off course without much effort. Against the Mario Bros., Lemmy has to supplement his natural speed with tools and gadgets to offset his size, such as the straight up giant robot he pilots in Yoshi's Safari. The giant rubber ball he's often pictured with more than a toy, it's a weapon as well as a means to make himself appear a little more intimidating. At the very least, it lets him look most people in the eye.

Above all else, Lemmy is a kid. He's immature and brash, sure, but he's also carefree and fun-loving. He's always up for some fun times! Even, you know, if those fun times involve minor vandalism or bodily harm.

Wish:
"I wanna be the world's greatest stage magician!"

Lemmy doesn't want for much. He has a huge family, he lives in a castle, he helps command an army, etc. If there was one thing he would wish for, though, it would be more time to dedicate to his true passion: entertaining! It's hard to work on your juggling act or perfect your comedic routine when all of your free time is taken up helping King Dad kidnap the princess again.

So when a weird talking cat comes to him with promises of magic, his first though goes not to improving his life or someone else's, but instead to stage magic. He always thought it would be cool to join the circus and be a star, and now he could have his chance! And what better way to amaze and astound an audience than with real magic? Oh, sure, he's no stranger to using magic, but it's always been through a magic wand that he's stolen from somebody else. This is the real deal, and it's all him!

Being 12, he doesn't think about this too hard. He just wants to be a cool magician. Even if Kyuubey tries to explain that his soul is going to be sucked out of his body, Lemmy doesn't pay much heed because he's entirely too excited about getting actual magic powers. So what if he's gotta move to another dimension? He gets his own house! Totally worth it!

Lemmy's wish fuels his powers with showmanship. I.E., they look impressive, but they're not all that powerful. His passive ability allows him to command attention.

To start with, he can summon up to three bombs at a time, and he has to wait until they explode before being able to summon more.

Weapon:

A top hat, from which he can pull rabbits the aforementioned bombs.

Sample: Test drivin' it!
